About us
In higher education, students and faculty members from lower caste and communities are in great numbers in the stream of Social Sciences and Languages and they are deprived of several opportunities. In this regard SC and ST Lecturers are united to give social justice to the said students. For this purpose, the association has been rejuvenated in 2015.
The KSGFC SC/ST Teachers Association is formed to safe guards the Constitutional rights and privileges of the teachers of SC/ST community across the state. The Association keeps high vigil on constitutional violence by the higher authorities and any kind of discrimination, humiliation by either the heads of Institutions or by any members of the institution upon the teachers of SC/ST community.
The Association is committed to maintain a good working environment in the respective institution of higher learning and also good rapport with the, Government of Karnataka and Department of Collegiate Education, to see that no injustice is done in any manner to the SC/ST teaching fraternity across the state. Further, the Association is also aims to promote and facilitate the time to time upskilling and up gradating recent trends in the field of education by organizing Seminars, Symposiums, Workshops and Conferences of high level to promote wellbeing of the fraternity and society at large.
The Association of Karnataka State First Grade College SC/ST Lecturers’ Association is formed having members from all over Karnataka. The main office is working in Government Arts College, Bengaluru and the Association established the regional branches at Bengaluru, Mysore, Shivamogga, Dharwad and Gulbarga and wants to give responsibilities to the representatives and Madikeri branch is still to be established.
